Öğrenme Serüvenim! - My learning journey!
Kendi öğrenmemin farkındalığının anneannem Sultan Hanım'a sorular sorarak başladığı hatırımda. Anneannem 1950'lerde Sıdıka Avar'ın müdüreliğini yaptığı Elazığ kız enstitüsü mezunu. Kendiyle birlikte kocasını ve çocuklarını da eğitmiş bir kadın... O zamanlar henüz ben altı-yedi yaşlarındayken; öğrenme merakımın, hayatıma sirayet edecek bir serüvenin ilk adımları olduğunun farkında dahi değildim. Gel gelelim şu anda ise bu serüvenin devamını da merak etmiyor değilim...

I remember that the awareness of my learning began by asking questions to my grandmother, Mrs Sultan. -my grandmother- is one of the Elazig Girls' Institute alumni, where Sıdıka Avar, a Turkish philanthropist and educator, was the principal during the 1950s. She was a woman who educated her husband and children by herself... When I was six or seven years old, at that time; I was not even aware that my curiosity to learn was the first step for an adventure that would spread to my life. Let's face it!
Kısa bir öz geçmiş... - A short resume...
İlk, orta ve lise eğitimimi İzmir'de tamamladım. İzmir Anadolu Lisesi, Almanca fen-matematik bölümünü bitirdiğimde halen daha geleceğe dair netleşmiş bir hedefim yoktu. Tek amacım kendimi ve doğayı anlamaktı. Bu sebeple Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Fen Fakültesi, Biyoloji bölümünü tercih ettim. En çok da Biyoloji üzerine eğitim aldığım için mutluyum bu hayatta! Biyoloji eğitimimi tamamladıktan sonra İ.D. Bilkent Üniversitesi, Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Eğitim Programları ve Öğretim Tezli Yüksek Lisans ve Öğretmenlik Sertifikası programına tam burslu olarak kabul aldım. Artık hedefim belliydi, öğrenmeyi öğretmek! Yurt içindeki ve İngiltere'deki prestijli okullarda staj yapma, Cambridge Üniversitesi'nde eğitim alma şansını Bilkent sayesinde yakaladım. Son beş yılda İstanbul'da köklü bir eğitim kurumunda çalıştım. Şu anda Özbekistan'da uluslararası bir okulda kariyerime devam ediyorum. Eş zamanlı olarak da öğrenme üzerine yazarak eğitim ile ilgili yardım ihtiyacı duyan herkese destek veriyorum.

I completed my primary, secondary and high school education in İzmir, Turkey. When I graduated from Izmir Anatolian High School (science-mathematics in German), I still did not have a clear goal for the future. My only aim was to understand myself and nature. For this reason, I chose Hacettepe University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology. Most of all, I am happy that I have studied Biology in this life! After completing my bachelor's degree in biology, I was accepted to I.D. Bilkent University, Institute of Educational Sciences, Curriculum and Instruction Master's with Thesis and Teaching Certificate program with a full scholarship. Now my goal was clear, to teach how to learn! Thanks to Bilkent, I had the chance to do internships at prestigious schools in Turkey and also in England and to study at Cambridge University. I worked in a long-established educational institution in Istanbul for the last five years. Now, I am working for an international school in Uzbekistan. At the same time, I support everyone who needs help with education.
